Biography

G. Rolland Mambourg, 90, of Lancaster, died on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center.

Rolland is survived by his niece, Floris (Bonnie Kostelecky) Mambourg of Portland, Oregon; nephew, Dr. Rolland D. (Carol Stead) Mambourg of Ann Arbor, Michigan; great nieces, Dana (Mike) Zimbric and daughter, Elsa of San Diego, California and Paige (Jake) Ledlow and son, Ezra Rolland of Ann Arbor, Michigan; great nephew, Joseph Rolland (Leslie Kingsley) Mambourg of Norton Shores, Michigan; and best friend, Bill (Vicki) Groves of Sugar Grove.

Rolland was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce “Peggy” Mambourg; parents, Leo and Gatie Mambourg; and brothers, Lloyd Mambourg and Victor Mambourg.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster with Pastor William Fierbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery in Washington Court House. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home on Saturday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ohio State University College of Nursing in memory of Rolland.
