G. Lucille “Boots” Hockman 95 of Logan, OH former resident of Lancaster, Ohio was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Arcadia Acres. Boots was born on April 16, 1919 to John W. and Mary Belle (Baker) O’Harra who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill E. “Buss” Hockman, son, Gary, brothers, Thomas, Harley, James, William, and John, Jr. O’Harra and sisters, Hazel L. Six and Edla A. Miller.
She is survived by her nieces, Patricia (Ralph) Werntz, Mary (Danny) White; nephews, Thomas (Sylvia) O’Harra, Donald (Karen) O’Harra all of McArthur, Ohio, Glenn (Sharon) Miller of Columbus, Ohio and Cloyce (Bonnie) Miller of New Lexington, Ohio.
Boots was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. She was a long-time employee of White Cottage Restaurant and a former sales associate of Hickles Dept. Store.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
