G. Helen Toodles Goodwin , age 90 of Lancaster died Saturday July 27, 2013 at the Pickering House, Lancaster.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #434, a 4-H advisor, American Legion Auxiliary, LHS Class of 1941, Americana Players, OliveDale, and the Fairfield County Extension Agency. Her hobbies were all types of needle work and crafts. She loved ball room dancing with her husband James.
She is survived by her son, Fred E. (Charolette) Goodwin; daughters, Freda M. (friend, Mark) Michel, and Dixie R. (Frank R.) Carroll-Smith all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jason B. (friend, Bobbie) Shaeffer, Andrew J. Arter all of Lancaster, Joshua M.(Jennifer) Goodwin of Circleville, and Amanda R. (Christopher) Boldi of Springboro, OH; great grandchildren, Kierston, Brittany, Ashtyn, Katelynn Shaeffer, Tyler, Tristan, Alexzandria, Savanah Arter, Shad Goodwin, Abigail Travis, and Jackson Goodwin; and brother, Daniel C DeLong.
She was preceded in death by husband, James; parents, Clarke and Edna (Whitmore) DeLong; brothers, Ralph, Erle, Clarence, and Merle DeLong; sister, Dorothy Hedrick; granddaughter, Nicole R. Goodwin; and son in law, Loren Michel.
Services will be held in the Chapel of the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME Wednesday 10:30 AM with Pastor Tony Salvatori officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 3-8 PM and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the funeral home.
