He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Army, graduate of Liberty Union High School, and was the supervisor of the village of Baltimore water and sewer departments with 37 years of service. Peck was a member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Sue (Thomas “Rich”) Nafzger of Thurston, Ohio; grandchildren, Felisha Sue (Rob) Stratton of Circleville, Ohio and Jairime (Amanda) Nafzger of Baltimore, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Asceney, Kylie, Harlee, Temprence, Carlee, Jersey, and Karie; brothers, Terry (Connie) Landis of Baltimore, Ohio and Harry (Joann) Landis of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Virginia Landis of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donna Jean Webb of Thurston, Ohio, Jimmie and Mary Mathias of Baltimore, Ohio, Ronald Mathias of Spring Grove, Illinois, Paul (Sharon) Mathias of Cambridge, Ohio, Shirley Mathias of Baltimore, Ohio and Harold Douglas of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
Peck was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Helen E. Landis, parents, Harry and Frances Landis, brother, James Landis and sister, Polly Douglas.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Dave Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
