Freddie F. Tolliver, 86, of New Salem, Ohio, was called home peacefully on March 20, 2021 to meet up with the Lord and his wife of 55 years, Barbara Jo-Ann Tolliver who went before him in 2011.
Freddie was born on June 13, 1934 to Herman Clyde and Mary (Porter) Tolliver who precedes him in death along with brothers, Clyde Jr., Earl, Jackson, Garland, Douglas, and Jesse and his sisters, Nora Jean Morehart, Judy Ann Loretti and 2 infant siblings.
Freddie is survived by daughters, Terri (Mark) Ervin of Reynoldsburg, and Carol (Glen) Starner of Patterson, Missouri, son, Steven Troy Tolliver of Thornville; grandchildren, Matthew (Marcy) Brown, Kelly (Michael) Buckman, Joshua (Rachel) Tolliver, Alison (Ben) Ruble and Mikaya (Austyn) Hovis;
great grandchildren of Papaw Freddie, Brook, Jenna and Molly Brown, Camille and Michael (Jr.) Buckman, Kenna Joanne Ruble and Remington Hovis. Deeply saddened by losing her last remaining sibling is sister, Emma Weidner of Thurston.
He retired from Crown Zellerbach in Baltimore in 1985. He was a longtime member of Fairfield Fish & Game and enjoyed volunteering at children’s fishing events and camping with friends. Freddie was a member of Pleasantville Senior Socialables.
Freddie was happiest when hunting or fishing with his son and grandsons or spending time with his family and watching football. He adapted to hearing loss at an early age but never forgot a face or a name and would go to great lengths to convince you that you knew them too. He told countless hunting and fishing stories and was blessed with his memory until his passing.
