Freda F. Downour 93 of Lancaster, Ohio went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center.
She was a retired decorator for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. with 41 years of service and a member of Church of Christ on Sells Rd.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Downour of Virginia, Mike (Karen) Downour of Logan, Ohio and David L. Downour of Lancaster, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Lorie, Dusty (Amanda) and Naomi; 2 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Denver Cooper of West Virginia; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Red” Downour, parents, John and Cecil Smith, brothers, Halley, Archie, Lewis and Jesse Smith; sisters, Nora Franklin, Florence Cooper and Bessie Smith.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be given to the Church of Christ, c/o the funeral home.
