Frank J. Lorys 87 of Lancaster, Ohio died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. He was a retired mail man for the US Postal Service with 30 years of service. He was a World War II US Army Air Corp. veteran and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. He is survived by his companion, Anna K. Smith of Lancaster, Ohio; brother-in-law, Max Bigerton of Lancaster, Ohio, niece, Karen Bigerton of Lancaster, Ohio; and close friends, Richard and Carol Holland of Amanda, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Lorys, parents, Frank J. and Katherine Lorys, and 3 sisters. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CAHPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Roger Quay officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery.
