Forrest Thomas

Forrest G. Thomas 74 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a retired machinist from Rockwell International and Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, former member of Knights of Columbus, Marine Corps. Leathernecks, American Legion Post #11 and AMVETS.

Forrest is survived by his wife of 50 years, Trudy Thomas; daughters, Theresa Marie (Stauffer) Kulp of Chesterland, Ohio and Christina Maria Thomas and husband Nathaniel Ritscher of California; grandchildren, Katherine Kulp, Lindsey Kulp, Ethan Kulp, Kyle Ritscher, and Owen Ritscher; brother, Michael Thomas of Lancaster, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Dorothy Thomas, Sr., brothers, Russell Thomas, Jr. and Robert Thomas.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Fr. Craig R. Eilerman as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military at the cemetery. Friends visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the FRANK E.
