Florence "Flo" D. Welker

Florence “Flo” D. Welker, 81 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Pickering House.  She was born to the late Karl and Elva Mae McConnell and a Liberty Union High School graduate Class of 1958.

Flo was retired from COTA as a payroll supervisor with 28 years of service.  She then went to work and later to retire from the Village of Baltimore as the Fiscal Officer.

She was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church, sang in the church choir, co-founder of the Fifth Quarter, and bowling coach for Junior League which she enjoyed doing because of the kids.

Flo is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ralph; children, Mollie Carroll of Baltimore, Ohio and Toni Walters of Pataskala, Ohio; step-sons, Todd (Lisa) Welker of Newark, Ohio and Eddie (Fonda) Welker of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Kelli (Phillip) Case of Pataskala, Ohio, Leah Welker of Newark, Ohio and Lane Welker of Logan, Ohio; “sister” Julie Clark of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; “brother” Mike (Janet) Hamilton of Baltimore, Ohio;  sister-in-law, Dayonez Murray;

cousin, George (Pam) Daft of Baltimore, Ohio and also other cousins; special friend, Duke Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Stephan Carroll, daughter-in-law, Sidney Walters, sisters-in-law, Lucille Jividen and Opal Wallis, and brothers-in-law, John Welker and Bill "Chalmer" Welker, and close cousins.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio.  Friends may visit Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.   No ties, just casual ware to be worn for visiting hours or funeral service per Flo.
