Everett "Pete" Peterson

Everett “Pete” Peterson, 82, of Galloway, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Pete served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and he was a member of the American Legion Post #11 in Lancaster. He worked for many years at Columbia Gas. Pete also loved working on and riding motorcycles.

Pete is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Russo of Florida and Kristine (Dan) Shepherd of Galloway; step-daughters, Karen (James) McKittrick of Millersport and Susan (Jon) Ackers of Texas; step-son, David D. Coleman of Laurelville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Donna Felde and Karen Olsen.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Peterson; parents, Donald Peterson and Dorothy Ness; grandson, Troy Tatman; and brother, Sidney Peterson.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster with military rites by the Buckeye Lake VFW Post 1388. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
