Evelyn J. Bobbie Hall, 85 of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on April 14th, 2015 at the familys residence. She was born on July 26, 1929 to the late, William and Thelma Williams Gaskins, in West Virginia. She helped with farming with her family and grew to have a devoted love of the Lord and had a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds, from llamas to peacocks. Later in life she kept a kennel and boarded dogs not always wanting to have them leave. Evelyn will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons; Benny (Freda) Hartley and David (Sue) Hartley of New Marshville, OH; daughters, Roxie A. Hall and Rodiea Lynn (Michael) Fox of AL; several step-children; grandchildren, Benny Jr., Carrie, Jeannie of AL, Aaron, Sabrina, Troy, Elijah, Angel, and Mandy; step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie (Burl) Weidner, Polly (Bill) Schmeltzer, and Junie (Don) Green; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Hartley; husbands, Paul Hartley and William Hall Sr.; brother, William Gaskins; sisters, Ruby Marriott and Alpha Herron; step-son, William Hall Jr.; grandchild, Joshua Hartley and Christopher E. Leonard.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, 4/16/15, from 6PM until 8PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster. A service will take place at 2pm on Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jerry Eaton. A graveside service will take place on Monday at 11:30AM at Clarks Chapel Cemetery in Athens, OH.
