Evelyn Snyder Collins, age 88 of Lancaster passed away at the Pickering House on Mar. 25, 2021. She was born to the late Raymond and Ruth Stebelton Snyder in Lancaster on June 23, 1932. She was a member of the First Church of God in Tarlton. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her family. Evelyn will be greatly missed and her memories will be cherished.
She was survived by her children, Greg (Alisa) Collins, Victor R. (Susan) Collins, Karen (Steve) McDonald, and Alan (Lori) Collins; grandchildren, Jennifer West, Bryan (Megan) Collins, Camden (Jackie) Collins, Nicholas (Deanna) Collins, Lorelie (Mathew) Banks, Stephanie (Craig) Kowalinski, Lacy (Ryan) Hatcher, Malyn Collins, and Kylie Collins; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy “Bill” Collins; grandsons, Ethan Collins and Christian Collins; and sister, Norma Jean Brunton.
A funeral service will take place at 10:30AM Tuesday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 3PM until 6PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery Lancaster. Due to Covid-19, social distancing must be maintained, and masks are required.
