Evelyn R. (Carroll) Ankrom

Evelyn R. (Carroll) Ankrom, age 84 of Pataskala, passed away Dec. 22, 2021.  She was born to the late Benjamin and Mildred Hart on Oct. 12, 1937.  She retired from the Starlite lanes where she was a waitress and helped make great meals.  She is a member of the Jersey Baptist Church and she enjoyed her house plants and two dogs, Tori and Baby.  Evelyn was an amazing mother, and grandmother who loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Evelyn was survived by her children, Terressa (John) Potts, Bida (Jim) Shook, Tammy (Bob) Hankison, Rusty Carroll, and Tabby (David) McCreary; grandchildren, Shane, Sean, Stephen, and Hope Potts, Andrea Piccirillo, Kyle Shook, Dustin and Douglas Hankison, Kelli Case, Coty Bader, and Sebastian McCreary; 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; siblings, Kenny (Pam) Hart, Margie (Doug) McAbee, Bill Hart, Charlie Hart,  and George (Nancy) Hart; several nieces and nephews; And bonus daughter, Missy Music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Ankrom; son, Stephan Carroll; father of her children, Russ Carroll; great grandson, Caleb Hankison; daughter-in-law, Vickie Carroll; and sisters, Ethel, Betty, and Linda.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday Dec. 29, at 11AM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore, officiated by Pastor Phil Duncan.  Burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery.  Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 4PM until 8PM on Tuesday.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
