Eugene LeFever

Eugene E. LeFever, born March 20, 1944, went to be with his Lord and Savior August 1, 2013. Gene, as he is known to his close friends and family, married the love of his life, Barbie LeFever of 33 years. He retired from Lucent after 33 years of service. He was a dedicated member of the farming community his entire life, and was a member of the Gloryland Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Labuel L. LeFever Sr. and Anna Love LeFever. He is survived by his wife Barbie LeFever of Baltimore, daughter Tiya Carpenter of Lancaster, stepson Jason Lewis of Pickerington, grandson Robbie Jr. Carpenter of Lancaster, brothers Labuel (Regina) LeFever of Lancaster, Richard (Cathy) LeFever of Lancaster, and Ken LeFever of Lancaster; sister, Mary (Pete) Williams of Lancaster; brother-in-law Robert (Shawn) Terry of Baltimore, Uncle and Aunt, Dororthy and Don Wood, Aunt Bette and Uncle Gene Mathias; special friends, Bob and Susan Richardson of Baltimore, Betty and Dan Stump of Lancaster, and cronies Phil Noland, Larry White, Bruce Harper, and Al Egland. He will also be fondly remembered by his very large extended, loving family, including many nieces and nephews, who will always carry with them fond memories of "Uncle Gene."
A Service will be held at Gloryland Nazarene Church 3570 Coonpath Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130 on Monday at 11AM, officiated by Pastor Mark Clingam. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 12PM until 4PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the service at the church. Caring Cremation® will follow the service.
