Esther VanFossen

Esther Miriam VanFossen, age 75, of Millersport, died May 24th, at the Fairfield Medical Center. She was born to the late, Richard and Celicia Downs Hayman on Nov. 7th, 1939 in Gallia County. Esther successfully raised five boys and one daughter, she attended the Church of God, and enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons, James (Georgina) of Logan, John (Nancy) of Junction City, Roy of Rushville, Stephen of Creola, and Troy VanFossen of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Roberta (Steve) Griffith of Clinton, TN; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Alfa Hill of Millersoprt and Dorothy Hamilton of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews.
Esther was preceded in death her loving husband, William VanFossen; parents; brothers, Robert, Richard, and William Hayman; and sisters, May Butterball and Juanita Hayman.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 1:30 PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster, officiated by Pastor Steve Rauch, burial will follow at Tarlton Cemetery.
