Ernestine Cox

Ernestine Cox 88 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Pickering House. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School.

She was a retired clerk for the City of Lancaster and a member of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ.

Ernestine is survived by her sons, Don (Connie) Cox of Lancaster, Ohio and Gerry Cox of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Nathan (Joanna) Cox, Brenton Cox, Sarah (Matthew) Waites, Abbey (Tim) Bolin, Brooke (Steve) Kondash and Lindsay (Mark) Love; great grandchildren, Arianna, Chase, Jacob, Cameron, Cooper, Callie, Mason, Olive, Jackson and Lauren; sisters, Betty (Jack) Fuchs, Eloise McCranor, and Jan McDaniel; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Cox, parents, Ralph and Gladys McDaniel, sisters, Mary Ellen Green and Alice Mae Miller and brothers, Gerald and Paul McDaniel.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with David Tingler officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
