Erleen K. Stoughton, 94, of Reynoldsburg, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala.
Erleen was a member of the Lancaster United Brethren Church. She retired from Diamond Power Specialty Company in 1984.
She was a devoted volunteer, giving countless hours of her time to the Fairfield Center for disAbilities and Cerebral Palsy, Lancaster Hospital – Fairfield Medical Center, and Girls Scouts of America.
Left to cherish her treasured memories are her son, Ray Stoughton of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Jackie (Randy) Hasson of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Ryan (Victoria) Stoughton, Maggie (Bart) Christenson, Brandon (Mandy) Hasson, and Jessica (Randy) Abrams; great grandchildren, Ethan and Aidan Hasson, Trey, Lexi, and Alyssa Abrams, and Harper Jean Christenson; treasured family friend, Danita Burris; and many nieces and nephews.
Erleen was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David “Lonnie” Stoughton; parents, Ervin and Anna Couch; brothers, James Edward and Eugene Couch; and sister-in-law, Mary Couch.
During her recent years in Reynoldsburg, she enjoyed in assisting 1st grade children with their learning as well as attending her great grandchildren's soccer and baseball games which gave her great joy.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Pastor Henry Cadwell officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
