Emma Lu Miller

Emma Lu Miller, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on August 18, 2021 at the Pickering House. She was born to the late Frederick and Margaret Carruthers in Groveport, OH on August 3, 1936.

Emma Lu is survived by her son, Michael (Sharon) Miller; daughter, Melissa (Donald) Sturgill; grandchildren, Michael E. Miller, Ty Nathan Smith, and Amy Elizabeth Smith; great grandchildren, Jordan Cooper Moore and Logan Asher Moore; sister, Patricia Summerville; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Melvin L. Miller; brother, Joe, Richard and Tom Carruthers; and her parents.

A funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on August 20, 2021 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
