Emily Louise Sharp

Emily Louise Sharp, 96, passed away on January 14, 2021, after suffering a major stroke. Emily was born in Paulding County, Ohio, the second of four children of Floyd and Marie Keck. She earned a BA from Indiana University and an MA in counseling from Ohio University.  Emily was a beloved teacher in the Berne Union School District.  In 2003 Emily moved to the Otterbein-Lebanon Senior Living Center and was an active member of the community through her volunteer work, teaching Sunday School and participation in a weekly writing group. When she entered her 90s, she wrote in a journal “There is, I am certain, no place like my Heavenly Home being prepared for me!” She is preceded in death by her brothers Chester and Bert Keck, and her son William Sharp.  She is survived by her sister, Amy Bollenbach, her three children, Thomas Sharp (Sue Sharp), Robert Sharp (Laurie Eichersehr) and Michael Sharp (Lee LaDue), grandchildren Jason Sharp-Page (Laurie Sharp-Page), Ian Sharp (Lauren Sharp), and Iris Sharp, and great-granddaughter Lily Sharp-Page.
