Emily Schoonover

Emily “Lou” L. Schoonover 89 of Lancaster, Ohio former resident of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on December 3, 2015 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Olivedale Senior Citizens Center, Baltimore Garden Club, One Voice, and Active at Pleasant Valley Golf Course.

Lou is survived by her five sons, Timothy (Jeannie) Schoonover of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert (Donna) Schoonover of Groveport, Ohio, Mark (Ana) Schoonover of Galloway, Ohio, Mike (Connie) Schoonover of Modesto, California, and James (Denise) Schoonover of Lancaster, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, Trisha, Matt, Christine, Bryan, Eric, Ryan, Grant, Laura, Corey, Lee Anne, Devin, Leta, Freddy, Rick, and Jill and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Schoonover, parents, Robert and Edith Rockhold, Sr. and brother, Robert Rockhold, Jr.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Emil H. Klatt, III officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
