Emily L. Callahan 88 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Main Street Terrace Care Center.
She was born March 6, 1923 in Crescentville, Ohio to the late Jesse and Carrie Henry Latham. She was a retired waitress and cook.
Emily is survived by son, Jesse (Michelle) Dodson of Somerset, Ohio; daughters, Mary Jo (Bob) Sinz of Las Vegas, Nevada, Patty (Jerry) Troidl of Lancaster, Ohio and Colleen (Brett) Dunkle of Las Vegas, Nevada; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; brothers, George (Betty) Latham of Glade Valley, North Carolina and Walter Latham of Melbourne, Florida; sister, Mildred Ferguson of Fairborne, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Sundin, grandson, Lee Troidl, granddaughter, Ronda Redman, daughter-in-law, Janie, parents, brothers, Leonard, John, Sammy, Jesse W. Latham, and Jesse Latham, Jr., sisters, Louise Eldridge, Lottie Kelsey and Ruth Rooker, niece, Julie Eldridge and nephew, Ed Rooker.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Jerry Troidl officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
