Elsie L. (Ball) Burnside

Elsie L. Burnside 82 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Pickering House.

She was a retired secretary for Bloom Carroll Elementary School with 30 years of service and an active member of the First United Methodist Church.  Elsie sang in the church choir and with the Celebration Singers. Everything was about her family where she placed everyone first before herself.

Elsie is survived by her sons Doug (Kristina) Burnside of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Todd (Mary) Burnside of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren Alisa Burnside, Kristin Burnside, Kaitlyn (Spencer) Riffe, Christian Burnside and Noah Burnside; great grandchildren Kameron Allen Wrett Blue, Amelia Riffe and Thea Riffe; brother Kenny (Marietta) Ball and Marvin (Louise) Ball; sisters, Norma (Jim) Nutter and Martha Riesbeck and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Burnside, granddaughter Desiree Burnside and parents Elza and Julia Ball.

Funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Brian Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the church on Friday.
