Elsie Black

May 9, 1915 — September 23, 2012

ELSIE EDITH BLACK, 97 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday Sept. 23, 2012, at Heartland Fairfield, Pleasantville. Born in Clearport, and attended Clearport Schools, enjoyed 4-H projects in her youth. Worked on the family farm, "Britch Fruit Farm", then retired from R.B.M. Division of Essex Wire Corp. after 29 years. Elsie attended Nazarene Church on Coonpath Road and was a member of Silver Liners.
Predeceased by her husband Walter Black; her father Frank C. Britch, born 12/21/1811, mother Margaret Lysinger Britch, born 3/12/1880, and five brothers, William, Raymond, Ralph, Clyde & Carl.
Elsie is survived by nephew, Ray Britch, nieces, Alice Schwalge and Marilyn Blais and three Great Nieces and several Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
The Family wishes to express a special thanks to the caregivers at Heartland Fairfield and Heartland Hospice in Pleasantville, Ohio. Elsie's great sence of humor and quick wit will be missed by all family, friends and caregivers.
Funeral services will be held at the FRANK E. SMITH, Friday Sept. 29th at 10:00 am viewing will be at 9:00 am until 10:00 am, one hour prior to the funeral.
Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Elsie Black may be made to Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd, Suite 210 Columbus, Ohio 43229.
