Elma P. Crist

Elma P. Crist (Hines), 93 of Circleville slipped into her eternal sleep on Sunday February 25, 2024 with family at her bedside at the Logan Elm Health Center.

Elma is preceded in death by her husband Dana W. Crist and second eldest son Steven Crist Sr.  She was a loving mother of six children, Greg (Susan Chadderdon) of Pittsburgh, PA; Son Steven Sr (deceased); Ruth (Ken Tao) of Goodyear AZ.; Polly Jo (Randy Young) of McArthur OH; Tony (Valerie VanBuskirk) of Circleville, OH and Amy (Scott Ferrell) of Marysville Ohio.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Elma was the eighth of 11 children to Martin and Blanche Hines of Lancaster, OH.  She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1949 and was married in November of the same year.  She briefly worked in manufacturing but most of her life was dedicated to being a housewife and mother of six children born over a twenty-year span.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 12 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Oakthorpe Cemetery. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
