Bowers
Elizabeth Bette L. Beier Bowers 63 of Carroll, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio and a graduate of St. Paul High School Class of 1968. She married Rick Bowers on March 11, 1989.
She was retired from AT&T after 30 years working as a zoning Inspector for the Village of Carroll and a member of the Fairfield County Regional Planning Association. She was a past zoning inspector for the Village of Baltimore and Greenfield Township. A past member of Corvettes of Lancaster and the Carroll Garden Club. Bette was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Lancaster, Ohio. She loved working with her flower beds, following her grandchildren in sporting events and attending Columbus Blue Jackets Games. She was dedicated to giving and sharing her time and talents with others.
Bette is survived by her husband of 24 years, Rick Bowers; 3 step-children, Kimberley (Doug) Sipes of Harrisburg, NC, Brian (Dee Dee) Bowers of Pickerington, Ohio and Brent (Sheila) Bowers of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Graham, Sidney, Bradley, Christopher , Gregory, Gabrelle and Garrett; sisters, Maryanne Crawford of Willard, Ohio, Patricia (Harold) Scheid of Monroeville, Ohio and William (Cathy) Beier of Norwalk, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends, Jane Drake and family of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Beatrice Mesner Beier of Norwalk, Ohio
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Peter Gideon as celebrant. Caring Cremation® to follow. Internment to be at a later date in Greenfield Twp. Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 4-8 p.m. a the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with a wake service Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
