Eileen M. Smith 94 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 peacefully at her home.
She was a member of the First united Methodist Church, Rebecca Circle, Women on the Home Front, a seamstress for the VA Hospital, volunteer at the Georgian Museum, election poll worker, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother.
Eileen is survived by her son, Jerry (Kolbe) Smith of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Nancy Cline of Lancaster, Ohio; five grandchildren, Enid (Scott) Tate, Todd (Jennie) Smith, Aaron (Ashley) Smith, Benjamin (Julie) Cline, and Matthew Cline; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles L. Smith, parents, Neil and Daisy Mae McKittrick, brothers, Charles (Dorothy), Clarence (Pearl), Guy, Crayton, Todd, and Pete (Margaret) McKittrick, sisters, Mary (Dick) Street, Betty (Bill) Taylor, Patricia (Howard) Martin and Dorothy Price.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert McDowell officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may visit 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
Memorial gifts may be given to the First United Methodist Church, 163 E. Wheeling St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 in her memory.
