Eileen "Blondie" Hochradel

Eileen L. “Blondie” Hochradel of Baltimore, Ohio, was born Dec. 29, 1923 at Lancaster, Ohio, and passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017 in Spring, TX, where she has been living for the last 4 years. She lived in Baltimore, OH, where she graduated from Liberty Union High School in the class of 1941. During her school years she played both softball and basketball and was the 1st Football Homecoming Queen. Eileen worked at several of the local retail stores in our small town of Baltimore which included Stubbs Five & Dime, Bob's Royal Blue, The Cardinal Store and Schaffner's Tastee Freeze. Her most important job was being an Amazing and Loving Wife, Mother, and Grand Mother. Over the years, she was a 4H leader of the Little Sprouts, a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, and Basil Garden Club. She was a lifetime member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Baltimore.
She is survived by daughters, Marcia (Jim) Mastel and Theresa (Danny) Kalb; son, Jeffrey Hochradel; grandchildren, Stacy (Brian) Heppler, Angie (Rob) Martin, Michael (Ashley)

Mastel, April (Mark) Swenson, Chad (Michelle) Kalb, Joel (Amber) Kalb, Cindy (Chad) Congrove, and Josh (Tara) Hochradel; Eighteen great grand children and four great great grand children; In laws, Violet (Estel) Miller, Bill ( Susie) Hochradel, Mary Anne Harrison, and James (Margaret) Hochradel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Hochradel; parents, Lawrence, birth mother Trecia & step mother Ella Fisher; brothers, Dutch Schaffner, Cecil Fisher, Raymond Fisher; baby brother, Dale Fisher; sister, Ladonna Laver, and Alice Schaffner.
Services will be held at 1PM officiated by Rev. Jill Dunlap, Sat., June 17, 2017 at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore, OH. Calling hours will be 11:00AM to 1:00PM with the funeral service to follow. Burial will follow services at Basil Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her memory to Trinity United Church of Christ at 105 High St. Baltimore, OH 43105. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com
