Eileen Dykes

Eileen L. Dykes, age 85 of Lancaster, died December 25th, 2016. She was born on September 23, 1931 to the late Don and Laura Moore Friesner in New Lexington. She loved to crochet, make ceramics, and grow flowers. She went through beauty school and helped her husband build houses throughout the Lancaster to area. Eileen will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Curtis, Sandi (John) Tomer, Jimmie Jean (Byron) Summers; 6 grandchildren, Kevin and Kimmie Kane, Doni and Matt Curtis, and Buster and Mandy Ogg; and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Barb (Mike) Hoskinson; and brothers-in-law; David (Sue) Dykes and Creighton Woltz, and Don Duarte.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband James ”Jim” Fred Dykes II; son, James Fred Dykes III; great grandson, Jonathon Michael Hedges; and sister-in-law, Mary Woltz.

Caring Cremation® has taken place through the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A memorial service will take place at 2 PM Thursday at the 1st Baptist Church in Lancaster officiated by Rev.
