Edwin E. Shuping 82 of Lancaster, Ohio died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and retired as an operations manager for the water softening industry with 33 years of service. He attended Faith Memorial Church, member of Olivedale Senior Citizens Center and former member of the Fairfield Heritage Association.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Terri (Norm) Bolinger of Springfield, Ohio and Michelle (Steve) Beaty of Troy, Ohio; step-granddaughter, Sasha; former wife, Dorothy Duffy Shuping of Troy, Ohio; close golfing friends of Pleasant Valley, Dan Boyden, Don Sessler, John Hamric and Bob Bruno; special friends, Julie and Mike Kilbarger of Lancaster, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Shuping, son, Steve Shuping, step-daughter, Lois A. Tucker, parents, Harry and Blanche Shuping, brothers, Ralph, Calvin, Bernard, and Harold Shuping, sisters, Marjorie Frazier, Doris Shelkey and Shirley Shuping.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Mel Truex officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:30-1:30p.m. at the funeral home.
