Edward Stai

Edward Allen Stai, 66, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday May 26, 2017. Ed was born on April 14, 1951 to Richard and Jeanne Stai in Columbus, Oh. Edward graduated from Bishop Fenwick in 1969, and would go on to work for Fairfield Homes as a Superintendent for many years. Ed loved deer hunting, fishing, and was a K.C. member. Above all, Ed loved his family and always put them before himself.

Ed is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Candice Stai; father and step mother, Richard and Mary Stai; sons, Christopher, Matthew, and Thomas (Darcy) Stai; grandchildren, Austin, Tre, Shaylyn, Shannon, Ashley, Jaden, C.J., Tommy, and Makayla; great-granddaughter, Payton; brothers and sisters; Kathy Dalton, Elizabeth Cox, Margret (Michael) Griffin, Jeff (Cindy) Stai, Mary (Jamie) McCall, Julie (Joe) Trimble, Richard (Cheryl) Stai, Teresa (Jack) Faulkner, and John Stai; Sisters in-law, Linda (Robert) Beveridge and Elizabeth Wadsworth; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Tom Renko, Chester Lamb, and Doug Kunselman; and his four legged baby, Ryle.

Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Stai; and mother and father in-law, Thomas and Jean Wadsworth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday June 2, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sugar Grove, Oh, with Rev. Fr. James Walter as Celebrant. A committal service will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
