Edward B. Sims 84 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Army and retired from Fairfield Paper Company with 45 years of service. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761.
Edward is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte R. Sims; daughter, Lu Ann Sims of Canal Winchester, Oh; sons, Scott E. (Tonda) Sims of Decanter, AL and Jerry L. (Kay) Sims of Lancaster, Ohio; four grandchildren, Meghann, Jeremy, Stacie and Bart; 11 great grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Gigante of Maine and brother-in-law, Gene Folk of Pickerington, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Laura Sims, brothers, Donald, Raymond, and Gary Sims, and sister, Pam Sims Folk.
A graveside service will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Basil Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jill Dunlap officiating. The Baltimore VFW Post 3761 will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
Friends may visit Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Basil Joint Fire Department, 410 W. Washington St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105.
