Edward P. Poling 93 of Lancaster, Ohio, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Carriage Court Assisted Living. He was born on April 2, 1924 in Rockbridge, Ohio to the late George E. and Fae Snoke Poling.
Edward was a World War II US Army veteran and the longtime owner of Dupler Lumber Co. in Lancaster.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 57 F&AM, Aladdin Shrine, American Legion Post 11 and Amvets.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Gale) Poling and Todd Poling all of Lancaster, Ohio; grandson, Brett Poling of Canal Winchester; great-great grandchildren, Jaida Poling and Xaler Johnson; sister, Ruth Cook of Houghton Lake, MI and many nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Poling, grandson, Sean Poling, parents, sisters, Evelyn Nicolia, Mary Dupler, Irene Gillis and Jenny Swain, brothers, Joe and Don Poling.
