Edna Wachter

Edna (Vickroy) Wachter 96 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at The Pickering House. 

She was a faithful member for many years at Faith Memorial Church, International Quota Club of Lancaster where she was the former president, and a member of the Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. She helped out at the Lancaster City Schools in the cafeteria and also volunteered her time at Fairhope Hospice.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Sandra Wachter; granddaughter, Rella Carper and great granddaughter, Olexa (Josh Blake) Dorwart all of Lancaster and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wachter, daughter, Sharon A. Carper, infant son, William R. Wachter, parents, Thomas and Emma Vickroy, and a brother, sisters and son-in-law, Thomas Carper.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Mel Truex officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Friday, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
