Edna L. (Thomas) Shreyer

Edna L. Shreyer, 94 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Pickering House. She was born on May 10, 1927 in Fairfield County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mary (Wilson) Thomas.

Edna and her husband Bill were the owners of Shreyer Egg Farm for many years.  She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Basil Garden Club, and Baltimore Festival Committee.  She was a former member of the Baltimore Chamber of Commerce, Baltimore Lions Club, Zoning Board, and Fire Department Consolidation Board.

Edna was Grand Marshall of the Baltimore Festival Parade and received many service awards from the community because of her evolvement.  She was honored as Baltimore’s Outstanding Citizen Award.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Donna Little) Shreyer, Thomas (Roberta) Shreyer and Matt (Chris) Shreyer all of Baltimore, Ohio; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Marcella Green of Lancaster, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy M. Shreyer, parents, sisters, Ida Mae Farmer, Frances Springer, Freda Downs and Evon Stieman, and brother, Paul Thomas.

Caring Cremation® has taken place by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Joanna Samuelson officiating. Friends may visit from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. A live broadcast of the funeral service will be hosted on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. on the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.
