Ed Hildreth 83 of Lancaster, Ohio Passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center.
He was a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses Lancaster Ohio where he was very active in the Kingdom Hall and had served as an elder. He spent his career as an entrepreneur. Ed owned Maytag appliance stores, an appliance service company, a parts distribution company, and was a commercial laundry distributor. He even owned Custom Movers, a few laundromats, and he dabbled in being a landlord over the years. He enjoyed vintage cars and loved collecting memorabilia. He also loved going to Buckeye Lake and boating along with water skiing. Buckeye Lake is where he met his wife Carolyn.
Ed loved his family and he spent his entire life showing them his love. He enjoyed his grandchildren and watching them grow up.
Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn; sons, Jeff (Shelley) Hildreth, Todd (Melanie) Hildreth all of Lancaster, Ohio and Paul (Karen) Kennison of Danville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Rhett (Nicole) Hildreth, Mallory (Chase) Stiverson and Layne Hildreth; two great grandchildren, Graham and Baker; brother, Lew (Joy) Hildreth of Hebron, Ohio, sister, Marian Thomas of Dublin, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Bertha Hildreth, Brother Richard Hildreth, Jr. and a sister, Anna Payne.
