Earl Eugene "Gene" Parrish, age 78 of Baltimore, went to his heavenly home on May 22, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Baltimore on Jan 8, 1943 to the late Vern and Millie Parrish. He was in the Army during Vietnam, He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Baltimore VFW, and the Millersport American Legion. He was the owner and operator of the Millersport Marathon which he sold and then retired from Kessler Heating and Cooling. His amazing personality and love for life will be greatly missed.
Gene is survived by the love of his life, D. Jane Parrish, daughter/niece, Leah (Matt) Armstrong; special buddy, Zach Armstrong; bro-in-law, Mark Myers; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Clark, Charlotte Hedges, Ann (Dave Dixon) Thompson, and Sherry Myers; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Parrish, brothers-in-law, Chuck Myers Jr., and Clarence Myers; and special friend Joe Gillen.
A special thanks to the I.C.U. Unit at FMC for the amazing compassion and kindness they had for Gene.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, at 1030 AM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dr. John Davidson. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens where the Baltimore Veteran Burial Detail will have a committal service. Family and friends may call from 2PM until 4PM and 6PM until 8PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in Gene's name can be made to Fairhope Hospice 282 Sells Rd.
