Dr. William J. Beausay, age 88, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Lanne and Florence (Frye) Beausay on March 28, 1931 in Upper Sandusky, OH.
He was a professor of psychology at Bowling Green State University, Bluffton College, and Suffolk County Community College, NY.
For the past 30 years he has pastored the Little Country Church in Baltimore, OH. Previously he was the senior pastor at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Toledo, OH.
He was a fun loving guy who enjoyed all kinds of music (especially the blues), playing the piano, chess and rooting on his beloved Buckeyes. He will be remembered most for his love of life, his charm and kindness.
William is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Milane Beausay, children, Sharon (Daniel) Blickenstaff of Portland, OR, William J. (Denise) Beausay of Denver, CO, Lisa Ann Beausay, of Columbus, OH, Michael (Carol) Beausay of Kettering, OH. Jeffrey (Melanie) Beausay of Columbus, OH; assorted grandchildren, and great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (John) Ryerse of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charles Beausay.
A funeral will take place on Saturday January 4th at 1PM at the Little Country Church, 4990 Tschopp Road, Lancaster, OH 43130, officiated by Pastor Richard Boucher, Pastor Evan Saunders, and Rabbi Howard Silverman. Burial will follow at Tschopp Cemetery. Visitation from 12:00-1:00. Viewing 12:00-12:30. Casket closing at 12;30.
