James F. LeSar MD 62 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Elko, Nevada, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 peacefully with our Lord after a grace filled battle with cancer at the Pickering House.
Dr. LeSar specialized in the practice of internal medicine for over 35 years, the majority of those in the Lancaster community. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University. He completed his medical training and earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Hahnemann Medical College.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Past Chair of Physcians Effective Committee, Past President of Medical Staff at Fairfield Medical Center, former President of Colonnade Medical Group, Dr. LeSar had served as medical Director of Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Main Street Terrace Nursing Home and Arcadia Acres Nursing Home in Logan. Most recently, he served as a physician with the Elko Clinic in Elko, Nevada, He was a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Specialists and Nevada State Medical Board.
Jim is survived by his children, Dr. Christopher J. (Tracie) LeSar, Dr. Jonathan (Summer) LeSar, Dr. Benjamin (Tanya) LeSar and Dr. Gregory (Cassie) LeSar; grandchildren, Cora, Clare, Cole, Tucker, Evie and Gabriel; brothers, Dr. John W. (Kate) LeSar and Dr. Richard A. (Suzanne) LeSar and also survived by Ms. Amy LeSar Diamond and Mrs. Julie A. LeSar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. George and Dorothy LeSar, sister, Jeanne Fralich and in-laws, Wayne and Cody Moore.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Reverend Father Craig Eilerman as Celebrant. Burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with a wake/rosary service at 7:45 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.
