Drexel Darst

Drexel Darst, of Lancaster, age 84, passed away at Logan Health Care Center on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012. He was born on July 26th, 1926 in Rutland, Oh to his parents, George Dayton Darst and Rosa Nellie Jacks. He worked for 27 years at Anchor Hocking Plant #1 as a machinist tender and was a member of the American Flint Glass Worker’s Union. He was also a member of New Life Christian Center.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Hersey and grandson, James E. Sexton both of NY; brothers, Darrel Darst of Baltimore and Doyle (Betty) Darst of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie E. Darst; two daughters, Ruth Ann Sexton and Rose Irene Morris; grandson, Gregory Allen Morris; and sister, Mae Eileen Wrentzel.
A service will take place at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Friday at 2pm. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 until 4PM.
