Douglas W. Comer 57 of Lancaster, Ohio died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Wexner Medical Center.
He was owner of a franchise for Pepperidge Farmfor 20 years. He was a graduate of Fairfield Union High School. A member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 2120, past governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, social member of the VFW Post. An avid golfer and played softball in the area for many years.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lise; daughter, Lindsay (Stephen) St. John; grandson, William St. John all of Columbus, Mississippi; mother, Virginia Comer of Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, James Comer of Lancaster, Ohio and Chris (Angie) Comer of Florida; sisters, Anna Kay (David) Heskett of Lancaster, Ohio, Lisa (John) Dinger of Baltimore, Ohio, Marsha (Tom) Smith, and Cathy Comer all of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Comer.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church across from Valley View Golf Course with Rev. Todd Noland officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
