Dorothy "Dottie" J. (Lisk) Martens

Dorothy “Dottie” J. Martens 92 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born on August 1, 1929 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Harry and Pauline (Brown) Lisk.

She was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and later retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. as a telephone operator also.

Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 60 years, volunteered to help put on the funeral meals at the church for over 20 years.  She was a member of the Pickerington Senior Citizens Center where she and Richard square danced.  She was a clogger for Clogg 4U and danced at McDowell Senior Citizens Center.  Dorothy was a past member of the American Legion Post 11 Ladies Auxiliary and Lancaster Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Debra K. (Randy) Lynn; granddaughter, Amy (T.J.) Lacy all of Lancaster, Ohio; great grandchildren, Wesley Lacy, Josalin Lacy and Garrett Lacy; sister, Donna Waugh of Lancaster, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” C. Martens, parents, Harry and Pauline Lisk, brothers, Robert Lisk and Donald Lisk and sister, Joan Nolder.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Rose Cemetery with Chaplain Mark Linn officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.
