Dorothy E. Vannatta, 94, of Baltimore, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.

Dorothy was a long time member of St. Michael’s United Church of Christ in Baltimore. She was a 1935 graduate of Liberty Union High School and a 4-H leader for 30 years. Dorothy was also a seamstress for many people including donating her talents to Touching Little Lives.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Walter E. (Carolyn) Vannatta, Beverly E. Vannatta, Donald E. Vannatta, Linda E. (Jim) Murphy, and Frances E. (Ron) Hite; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and brothers, Jack Miller, Elmer Miller, and Paul Miller.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lillie E. Miller, Sr.; daughter, Rita Holdridge; sister, Gladys Amand; a great granddaughter; and Donald E. Vannatta.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at St. Michael’s United Church of Christ, 2495 Bickel Church Rd NW, Baltimore, Ohio 43105, with Reverend Edward Lopeman and Reverend Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore.
