Dorothy Smith

Dorothy M. Smith, age 89, of Baltimore, died November 8th, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born in Liberty Township on Nov. 27th, 1924 to the late Otho and Ethel Jenks Poston. She was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church, the Fairfield Grange, the Ladies VFW Auxiliary #1534, and the Friendly 60’s.
Dorothy was survived by her son, Dennis and Julie Smith, of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Rhonda and Denise; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Smith; parents; sisters, Audrey Tucker and Mildred Wood; and brothers, Worthy, Virgil, Guy, Howard, and Granville Poston.
A service will take place at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday at 1:30PM, officiated by Rev. Branson Hawks. Family and friends may call from 2PM until 4PM on Tuesday, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow the service at Union Evangelical Cemetery.
