Dorothy Marcella Canale 81 of Lancaster, Ohio died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Main Street Terrace Care Center.
She was born in Chauncey, Ohio on December 3, 1930 to the late Joseph E. and Gladys R. Pickett.
She was the owner of Canale’s Drivers Ed and a member of Lutheran Church of Savior, Baltimore VFW Post 3761 Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sherri (Ed White) Canale of NC; sons, William (Kimberly) Canale, Jr. of Bremen, Ohio, Michael Canale of Columbus, Ohio and Jeffrey (Helen Mulroy) Canale of Lancaster, Ohio; eight grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; brothers, Dean Pickett of New Iberia, LA, Larry Pickett of Richardson, TX, Charles Pickett of Somerset, Ohio and Mark Pickett of Lancaster, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James, Eddie, Ronald and Richard Pickett and two grandchildren, Jennifer Canale and Michael Hupp.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
