Doris Cook

Doris M. Cook 95 of Amanda, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Pickering House. She had worked for Fiberglass in Newark, Ohio, Johnson Nursing Home, RBM and later retired from Lancaster Fairfield Community Hospital as a nurse’s aid.

She was a member of the Church on the Front Line, VFW Auxiliary 1380, Amvets Auxiliary 1985, loved to bowl, play cards, casinos and loved to mushroom hunt.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Sue Grooms of Lancaster, Ohio, Jennifer (Russ) Beatty of Amanda, Ohio and Bev Cook of Lancaster, Ohio; sons, Steven (Carolyn) Cook, Sam (Kay) Cook and Rocky (Linda Coffman) Cook all of Lancaster, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and family friends, Bobbie Black, Penny Hart and Sally Bobo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Cook, parents, James and Gladys Roberts and grandchildren, Amy Jo Beatty and Jeffrey William Cook.
