Doris J. “Sissy” Akers 61 of Baltimore, Ohio went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at her residence. She was born on August 2, 1949.
She is survived by her mother, Tessie Mae Akers of Lancaster, Ohio; fiancé, John Conway of Baltimore, Ohio; brothers, Bud J. (Cheryle) Akers, III of Lancaster, Ohio, Marshall Ray (Johnnie) Akers of Circleville, Ohio, and Noah (Sue) Akers of Lancaster, Ohio; aunts, uncles, 4 nieces, 7 nephews, many great nieces and nephews, special friends, Jim and Regina Lang of Baltimore, Ohio and Barb Rutter of Texas.
A special thank you to Dr. Brian Varney, nurses, aids, and Pastor Melvin Truex.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Akers, Jr., brother, Richard Curtis Akers, grandparents, Bud and Stella Akers and Noah and Maggie McCoy.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Melvin Truex officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may visit Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
