Donald L. Graf, age 90, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Fairfield Medical Center.
He was born on September 30, 1931 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Fred and Mabel (Brenner) Graf.
Don is a 1949 graduate of Lancaster High School. He served his country in the US Marine Corps for two years and then retired from Big Bear where he worked as a meat-cutter/manager for 37 years.
As a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Lancaster for 68 years, Don volunteered wherever he was needed. His life centered around family and friends where he displayed his engaging good nature.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian Jane (Moyer) Graf; son Steve (Tracy) Graf of Sanibel, Florida; grandchildren Ashley (Jon) Spagnola, Madeline (Mat) Burke; great-grandchildren Sloane and Sofia; sister Mary Widener, brother William Graf, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Phyllis Graf.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the staff at The Arbors of Carroll, especially John who transported Don to his multitude of doctor appointments the last 6 months and the staff at the Fairfield Medical Center. His friends and neighbors at Roxton Ravine, where Don and Jane have resided the last sixteen years, deserve a special thank you for all of their love and support.
Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, Lancaster, OHIO 43130. A private inurnment will be held at Forest Rose Cemetery.
