Donald Lee Evans 88, a long life resident of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Carroll Place Assisted Living Community.
He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Navy and was a retired semi driver for the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation. He was a member of the Fraternal Post Order of Eagles Aries 2120, American Legion Post 11, and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1380.
Donald is survived by his son, Greg A. (Sharomon Rogers) Evans of Columbus, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Evans; sisters, Mary Louise Fletcher and Patricia Ann Evans; brothers, Charles F. Evans, Jr. and Ronald E. Evans; “long time lady friend,” Mary Lou Norris.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10:30 A.M in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS STREET, LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Kermit Welty officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio. A live broadcast will take place through our Frank E. Smith and Crematory Inc. Facebook page at the time of the service. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. In accordance with State mandates, COVID Protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
