Donald "Don/Donnie" Conrad

Donald Don/Donnie Conrad 60 of Lancaster, Ohio passed from his earthly journey on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on January 31, 1955, and lived every day to the fullest. He never knew a stranger and was loved by all. Our life on earth is a journey to be enjoyed, Don enjoyed his journey to the fullest measure.
Don is survived by his mother, Bessie Mae Carper, daughter, Mandy (fiancé, Dustin Brown and his children, Elijah and Phillip) Conrad; siblings, Robert (Tammy) Conrad, Richard Conrad, Patricia (Ron) Woodard, Roger (Kim) Conrad, Norma (Manson) Williams; sister-in-law, Rhonda Conrad; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a great-great niece. As well as his extraordinary friends and supporters at The Dawg House.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Conrad, step-father, Ted Carper, brother Tom, nieces, Clarisa and Lyrisha, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thank you to the staff at Fairfield Medical Center and Homestead Nursing Home for their outstanding care and compassion for Don.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Rory Bay officiating. Burial will follow in Stukey Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
