Donald Burnside

Donald G. Burnside, 77, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away August 12, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Donald was born July 2, 1937 in Fairfield County, Ohio to Gilbert and Hazel Burnside. He was retired from Diamond Power and Don Burnside Services, as a builder. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his Lord and Master. He was a member of Faith Memorial Church.

Surviving are wife of 56 years, Patricia Lou Coffman; daughters, Karla J. (Matt) Waits of Baltimore, Ohio, Sheri L. Burnside (Rick Beaty) of Lancaster, Ohio and Juli R. (Joe) McCafferty of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaleb and Kameron Waits, Hannah Burnside and Austin, Aiden and Ashten McCafferty.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Hazel Burnside; half brother, Garnet Hay; and in-laws, Donald and Zelma Coffman.

Memorial Services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Faith Memorial Church, Lancaster, Ohio. You may greet the family one hour before the service.

A special thank you to the Doctors and Staff at Fairfield Medical Center for the wonderful care that Donald received. Donations can be made in memory of Donald to the Dr. Gordon B. Snider Cardiovascular Institute at Fairfield Medical Center.
